Simon joined JTMEC in 2021.
First joined the mining industry in 2008 as a labourer, became a process technician in 2013, joined mines rescue in 2015, got into health safety and training in 2018, OHS Manager of small gold mine in 2020 before coming to JTMEC.
As Site HSE Advisor at JTMEC some of Simon’s responsibilities include;
- provide support to JTMEC WHS Manager,
- provide HSE advise to project departments around Australia,
- provide internal training,
- Apprentice Co-Ordinator,
- internal Auditor,
- work with clients for site onboarding of JTMEC staff,
- review medicals for different sites.
Qualifications
- Cert. IV in Work Health and Safety,
- Cert. IV in Metalliferous Mining Operations,
- Cert. IV in Mines Rescue,
- Cert. III in Public Safety,
- Cert. III in Firefighting,
- currently doing Cert. IV in Training and Assessment.
