We recently had a number of our apprentices enter the World Skills competition.
Every two years, more than 500 Regional Competitions are held in 34 regions across Australia. They test the skills and knowledge of 4000+ apprentices, trainees and students, who have the chance to win gold, silver and bronze medals and go on to compete at a national level.
The National Championships is Australia’s biggest vocational education and excellence competition. Over three days at Skills Show Australia, selected Regional competitors are flown from around the country to showcase and benchmark their skills on the national stage competing against their industry peers from around the country.
Those successful at a national level have the opportunity to compete at the international WorldSkills movement. Every two years Australia sends a highly trained team, the Skillaroos, to compete against 82 member countries for the title of the world’s most skilled country at an International Competition. At WorldSkills Kazan 2019, Australia was ranked 8th in the world.

We are proud to announce that Joseph Degiorgio received a second placing at the regional competition and Nicholas Fisher placed first!

This now qualifies Nick to compete at the national level.
