ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
An exciting opportunity exists for an APPRENTICE to join the JTMEC team based in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia for a 4 year Electrotechnology Apprenticeship. This is a permanent residential role commencing immediately. You must be residing locally for the duration of your Apprenticeship.
In this position you will receive ongoing training and support to become a qualified Electrician. You will learn skills in electrical installations, plant maintenance, fault finding and testing within mining, construction, commercial and domestic environments.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL
To be successful, you will have the desire and passion to commit to an ongoing learning program made up of theoretical and practical activities both within a workshop and classroom environment. You will understand and commit to a ZERO harm culture, and have the ability to communicate with confidence. It is also expected that you will:
- have the ability pass a pre-employment medical and ongoing alcohol and other drugs testing;
- have a current police clearance and drivers licence (or the ability to obtain one);
- be a self-starter who is reliable, honest and takes pride in your work;
- the ability to work both as a member of a team as well as independently; and
- Year 12 completion certificate (preferably with pre-vocational / pre-apprenticeship training).

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Electrician to join the JTMEC team based at Dargues Reef mine site near Braidwood, NSW.
This position is a 7:7 roster doing 12 hour shifts. will be a residential based role. Relocation assistance maybe offered to the successful candidate.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Servicing, maintenance, diagnosing, repairs and statutory testing of electrical equipment including Jumbo’s, Solo’s, Mono & Flygt pumps, ventilation fans and leaky feeder system.
- installations for a wide range of High Voltage & Low Voltage electrical equipment and infrastructure.
- ensuring all site statutory requirements are met; and
- servicing, maintenance and fault finding of all associated electrical equipment on site. Ranging from underground to ore processing as well as all other projects on site.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful, you will need to have previous supervisory experience, preferably in a similar role. You will also have a
- current drivers and
- electrical license,
- CPR and LV rescue certificates and
- current HV switching accreditation.
- LV/HV Motors, HV switchgear/switching
- Strong fault finding ability and ability to read and interpret drawings.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We currently have a great opportunity for an Full Time Dual Trade Electrician/AC Refrigeration Mechanic wanting to get into Mining.
You will be working within the Ore Process Plant & Underground at North Parkes Mine site near Parkes NSW.
This is a LOCAL RESIDENTIAL based role only.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Servicing, maintenance, diagnosing and repairs of a large range of AC & Refrigeration equipment.
- Gas handling.
- New refrigeration and AC installations.
- Breakdown response.
- Working with our large team of Electricians as required, including surface and underground shutdown work.
- Experience in quoting, ordering parts & following through until job is complete
ABOUT YOU
It is preferable that you have industrial electrical experience.
You will also have the following:
- Current manual driver’s license
- Full NSW Electrical license
- Full Air Conditioning/Refrigeration Licence
- ARC Refrigerant Handling Licence
You will also be able to demonstrate:

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Fixed plant Process/underground Electrician to join the JTMEC team based at Cadia Valley Operations site near Orange, NSW.
This position is an SPILT roster doing 12.25 hour shifts in a floater role between U/G and the Ore processing plant.. This will be a residential based role & not offered as FIFO. Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Servicing, maintenance, diagnosing, repairs and statutory testing of a range of fixed plant/process electrical equipment.
- Installation and maintenance of a wide range of High Voltage & Low Voltage electrical equipment and infrastructure.
- Ensuring all site statutory requirements are met.
- Servicing, maintenance and fault finding of all associated electrical equipment on site.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful, you will need to have previous mill maintenance experience, preferably in a similar role. You will also have a
- Current drivers license; and
- a current Electrical license.
The following are preferable:
- CPR and LV rescue certificate.
- Current HV switching accreditation.
- Confined Space certificate.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We are currently seeking expressions of interest for an Electrical Estimator position, to be based at our NSW Branch in Orange.
Duties for this position will include:-
- Delivering competitive and profitable estimates and tender submissions for small, medium and large scale construction mining, commercial and industrial projects.
- Estimating for our electrical manufacturing division.
- Estimating works and following up submissions.
- Attending pre-tender meetings and conducting site visits to discuss requirements.
- Completing and coordinating all relevant information relating to submissions.
- Liaising with team members, clients, contractors and suppliers.
- Effectively managing time and processes
- Ensuring a continual forward workload of tender enquiries and estimates.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful, you will need to have the following:-
- Current drivers license.
- A minimum 2 years experience in a similar position.
- Electrical trade qualification or Electrical Engineering Qualification.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR TE ROLE
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good computing skills (MS Office Intermediate, MS Project).
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Sound knowledge of the electrical industry, rules, systems and products.
- Ability to read and understand tender drawings and specifications.
- Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks.
- Commercial and industrial experience (Mining Desirable)
